And now we’re up to the grand final with the best two sides from both comps going head-to-head for premiership glory.

Women’s Grand Final: Waratah vs PINT from 4.15pm
Men’s Grand Final: Waratah vs Southern Districts from 6.45pm

After 18 rounds of regular season games and four weeks of finals action, it has all come down to this, the NTFL grand finals are here.
In the women’s competition it is minor premiers PINT up against Waratah from 4.15pm at TIO Stadium.
Waratah were the first side into the grand final after pulling off a surprise win against the Queenants in the semi-final.
And with that win behind them the Tahs women will be brimming with confidence, hoping to go one better this weekend to claim their first flag since the 2018-19 season.
But after a morale-boosting comeback victory against St Mary’s, PINT now have some game time in their legs, and will be doing everything they can to ensure that stumble is not repeated.
The Queenants have only dropped two games all season, and with big name players such as Jasmyn Hewett and Amy Chittick, will be eager not to bring that total to three.
In the men’s competition, it is Waratah and Southern Districts who will go head to head for a shot at premiership glory from 6.45pm.
Like their women’s counterparts, the Tahs’ men jumped straight into the grand final after soundly beating Southern Districts two weeks ago.
The red and whites have been the best side in finals so far and have a complete side full of weapons, including proven goal kickers Jayden Magro and Darcy Hope.
After losing their semi-final Crocs had to take the long route to the big dance, but Districts proved they deserve this spot after beating reigning premiers St Mary’s in the prelim.
Ruckman Matt Dennis will be crucial for the side, while captain Dean Staunton is expected to have another big showing in the midfield.
FINALS WEEK 3 REPLAYS
First to take centre stage is the women’s minor premiers PINT up against a strong St Mary’s outfit from 4.30pm at TIO Stadium.
The Queenants have been the benchmark side all season, winning 15 out of their 16 regular season matches.
However, they hit a stumbling block in their first taste of finals action, losing to Waratah, and will be looking for better this time around.
Meanwhile, St Mary’s come in with plenty of confidence having beaten PINT last time these sides met.
The Green Machine finished the home-and-away season in a flurry winning 12 of their last 13 matches, and last week proved they’re finals fit beating reigning premiers Darwin Buffettes.
St Mary’s showed their stuff in a dominant win over the Nightcliff Tigers in last week’s semi-final and will be eager to keep the momentum going.
A win here will give them a chance of claiming back-to-back premierships, and they know they have the talent to get the job done.
But Districts are not a side lacking in talent and finished on top of the league ladder for a reason.
The Crocs will be hungry for vengeance after suffering a heavy defeat to Waratah in the semis, and with some key players set to return they are more than a chance of taking this one.
FINALS WEEK 2 REPLAYS
First up we have the women’s knockout semi final between the St Mary’s women and the Darwin Buffettes from 12.15pm.
In some respects St Mary’s are the in-form side of the competition winning 12 out of their 13 matches in the lead up to finals, but were caught out in the rain against Waratah.
And if there’s one side who knows a thing or two about winning finals it’s the reigning premiers Darwin Buffettes, who are more than ready for the contest.
Waratah are the more match fit of the two sides, and have winning form having beaten Saints in the first weekend of finals.
But PINT were the best team in the league for a reason, and will come out firing even if they may be a bit underdone.
Next up is the men’s final between rivals St Mary’s and Nightcliff from 4.15pm, and if recent history is anything to go by this will be a spectacle.
Reigning premiers St Mary’s want to bounce back after faltering against Waratah in the qualifying final and have the players to put on a big showing.
Meanwhile, Nightcliff are on a run of eight wins and after being knocked out by the Green Machine last year will be licking their lips at the chance of revenge.
Finally from 6.45pm we have the major semi final between league leaders Southern Districts and powerhouse side Waratah.
The Crocs will take plenty of confidence into this one having not lost to red and whites all season, but have had a comparatively disjointed preparation.
Waratah for their part enjoyed a comfortable victory over last years premiers in the first week of finals, and have a unique chance to jump straight into the grand final.
FINALS WEEK 1 REPLAYS
Up first we have the women’s elimination final between Nightcliff and the Darwin Buffettes from 12.15pm.
These are the same two sides who met in last year’s grand final with the Buffettes taking out the win on that occasion.
On form they would be expected to get the win again in this meeting, but the Tigers have a trick or two of their sleeves and won’t go down without a fight.
Then from 2.15pm we have what promises to be a fierce face-off between the Waratah women and St Mary’s in the qualifying final.
St Mary’s have been a force to be reckoned with in the women’s competition only losing once in their past 10 matches.
But Waratah aren’t a side to be trifled with either, and will be hoping they have all their players in for the encounter.
The men’s competition kicks into action from 4.15pm with the Nightcliff Tigers up against the Darwin Buffaloes in the do-or-die elimination final.
Nightcliff are the in-form side of the competition managing big wins against all-comers including top-of-the-table Southern Districts since the Christmas break.
The Buffaloes however suffered some deflating injuries in their most recent outing, and will hope some key inclusions turn the odds back in their favour.
And finally from 6.45pm we have the blockbuster qualifying final between last year’s grand final teams Waratah and St Mary’s.
Waratah have been one of the benchmark teams all year, and will fancy their chances given they only lost by a point last time these sides met.
There will be similar confidence from the reigning premiers who will want to send a statement, and maintain their double chance.
ROUND 18 REPLAYS
Starting the action is the women’s face-off between reigning premiers Darwin Buffettes and the youthful Southern Districts from 11.30pm at TIO Stadium.
The Buffettes will be targeting this match, as a strong win here might allow them to steal third and a finals double chance from Waratah.
Then from 1.30pm at Gardens Oval, the Nightcliff Tigers will be aiming to maintain their winning run against bottom-of-the-table Tiwi.
The Tigers have been the form side in the competition since the Christmas break and are heading into finals with plenty of momentum, while this will be Tiwi’s last stand for the year.
Back at TIO Stadium we have what will be the match of the round between two finals bound sides in Southern Districts and the Darwin Buffaloes from 3.30pm.
Districts are secure on top of the table, and get to skip the first week of finals as a result, and as such they will want to make a statement in the final round to prove they belong.
However, Buffaloes have plenty to prove as well after a relatively dry run since the break, and need a big showing to prove they can survive come finals.
We stay at TIO Stadium for a 6pm clash between old rivals Wanderers and St Mary’s.
And finally at Cazalys Arena the youthful Palmerston Magpies will host Waratah from 6.30pm, with the Tahs looking to leave an impression before moving on to finals.
ROUND 17 REPLAYS
Up first we’ve got the women’s fixture between top three rivals St Mary’s and Waratah at TIO Stadium from 12.30pm.
The sides are currently locked on 40 competition points each with the winners most likely to finish the season in second and potentially securing the finals double chance.
Then it’s over to Cazalys Arena where the men of Palmerston will host a Tiwi Bombers side on the hunt for a win from 1.45pm.
Palmerston have fielded younger sides in recent weeks as they build towards next season, but they come up against a Tiwi side eager to get their second victory of the year.
Back at TIO Stadium from 4.30pm we have the men’s match between St Mary’s and Waratah, who like their women’s counterparts also sit in second and third.
St Mary’s will be after a taste of revenge following their heavy defeat to Tahs in Round 1 of the season, and with finals now on the mind of both sides a statement is important.
Over at DXC Arena from 6.30pm PINT will play their final match of their first 2022-23 regular season against the Nightcliff Tigers.
If PINT win this there’s a slim chance they could still break into the finals mix, but the Tigers have been the form side in the competition over the past few weeks.
And finally from 7pm at TIO Stadium we have the Darwin Buffaloes up against Wanderers who found their kicking boots in Round 16.
For the Buffaloes this is an important match to prove they’re still a chance come finals time, but the Muk Muks have shown a taste of their talent in recent weeks.
ROUND 16 REPLAYS
First up is the Districts women haven’t quite enjoyed the season they might have liked, but there are plenty of bright spots in their young list.
Then it’s over to the men’s competition where bottom sides Tiwi Bombers and Wanderers go head-to-head at Gardens Oval from 2pm.
Neither side have had the season they would have wanted, but both teams will fancy their chances of grabbing a win late in the season.
Back at Norbuilt Oval from 4pm the men’s fixture between Southern Districts and PINT is set to take place.
PINT know they need the win here to put themselves in position to steal a finals berth, but top-of-the-table Districts will be gunning to impress in their last home appearance of the year.
Then it’s the women’s match between a strong and in-form St Mary’s and Palmerston Magpies at TIO Stadium from 5pm.
Over at Nightcliff Oval from 6.30pm we have what is shaping up to be the match of the round between the Nightcliff Tigers and Darwin Buffaloes.
Both sides currently occupy a finals position, but if either are to drop this match they could instead find themselves bundled out before the end of the season.
And finally at TIO Stadium the Palmerston Magpies will take on reigning premiers St Mary’s from 7pm.
Palmerston’s hopes for their season have dropped significantly since November, however they still have talent across the park to put on a show.
But St Mary’s are in better form and with the need to protect their double chance will be out for a percentage boosting win.
ROUND 15 REPLAYS
Up first is the women’s match between the past two women’s premiership winners, Darwin Buffettes and PINT, at TIO Stadium from 12.30pm.
PINT have been the form side in the women’s comp all year, but the Buffettes have proven a force to be reckoned with since the Christmas break.
From 2.30pm it's the first men’s match between the Tiwi Bombers and Southern Districts.
It’s the battle of the top side vs the bottom side, and after both suffered separate disappointments last round they’ll each be after some sort of redemption.
Then at 5pm we have the potential match of the round between fourth-placed Darwin Buffaloes and finals hopefuls PINT.
Buffaloes are sitting pretty in the top four on the back of a strong year so far, but in order to stay safe they need to take their wins where they can.
But the Greenants won’t let their chances of making finals disappear entirely and will be throwing everything at this match to keep their hopes alive.
The final match on Saturday between St Mary’s and Nightcliff could also have a big bearing on the league with the two in-form sides facing off at 7.30pm.
The Tigers clawed their way back into the finals positions after a big win over top side Southern Districts, and intend to stay there.
And finally on Sunday we have the Foundation Cup match between Wanderers and Waratah at Tracy Village Oval from 4pm.
Wanderers are now out of real finals contention, but can still play a key role in disrupting their rivals, while second placed Tahs will want to show why they’re so highly rated.
ROUND 14 REPLAYS
Our weekend of streaming fixtures kicks off with our women’s match between Waratah and the Tiwi Bombers at Gardens Oval from 12.30pm.
Waratah will be hoping to bounce back following a hefty Round 12 loss to top side PINT, but they face strong competition in a well-rested Tiwi outfit.
The Tiwi men also return to the field for their first match of the year in the all-important Maurice Rioli Cup match against Waratah at Gardens Oval from 12.30pm.
The match played in memory of its namesake is hugely important to both clubs, and though Waratah come in as overwhelming favourites expect plenty of passion from the Bombers.
Then we head over to Nightcliff Oval where a Nightcliff Tigers side growing in confidence take on top side Southern Districts at 4pm.
This will be a real tester for the Tigers who despite their home advantage aren’t a side to pile on the points, while that’s exactly what the Crocs can do if they catch you napping.
Over at TIO Stadium from 5pm we’ve got an interesting battle between Wanderers and PINT.
Both sides sit on equal points on the NTFL table just outside the finals berths, and a loss here could spell the end of either side’s season.
Finally it’s over to Cazalys Arena in what will be an incredibly important 7pm fixture for both host side Palmerston and their foes Darwin Buffaloes.
For Palmerston it’s a chance to overturn their downward trend which now sees them sitting outside of the finals positions.
And for Buffaloes it’s an opportunity to cement their spot in the top four and further separate themselves from the chasing pack.
ROUND 13 REPLAYS
It might have only been two weeks, but it has been a fortnight that has felt like forever.
After a good festive break, and maybe a few too many Christmas hams, the NTFL season kicks back into high gear this weekend.
A winless Wanderers women’s side had one wish for Christmas, and while he might be off the clock, they’re expecting Santa to deliver it this weekend.
Wanderers will be determined to score their first win of the NTFL season as they kick off our weekend’s streaming fixtures against the fourth-placed Nightcliff Tigers at 2.30pm, Saturday.
Wanderers will be hungry to get back into action after an extended festive season break, while Nightcliff enjoyed a 76-7 smashing of Palmerston in the last week of December.
The match of the round will follow the women’s encounter with Darwin Buffaloes and St Mary’s kicking off at TIO Stadium at 4.30pm.
It is a battle of third and fourth on the ladder, with both sides determined to start a winning run over the back half of the season.
A win for the Buffs will shorten the gap between themselves and Saints to one game, and turn the tables on their previous meeting this season when the Saints ran away with victory in a goalfest.
Second-placed Waratah will be determined not to start the new year complacent as they come up against a hungry PINT from 6pm, Saturday.
PINT pushed Waratah to the limit across three quarters the last time the two sides faced off in Round 9, but have been cursed by their own inconsistency on the field, having won only one of their past six games.
In another exciting tussle, Nightcliff and Wanderers will go toe-to-toe with a chance to break free of a mid-table logjam at 7pm.
Both sides come out of the Christmas break with middling 4-6 records.
While Wanderers were too strong for the Tigers in their earlier clash this season, the Nightcliff side will take plenty of confidence out of the fact they won the final quarter 27-14.
In the final live stream clash of Round 13, NTFL frontrunners Southern Districts will come up against Palmerston Magpies at 7pm.
The Crocs have broken free of the pack after their big win over Waratah on the final weekend of 2022.
Palmerston were rocked after they had competition points taken off them for a breach of AFL NT fly-in rules before Christmas, but will be determined to make up for lost points early in the new year.
ROUND 12 REPLAYS
Starting off our livestream action in Round 12 is our women’s match between the Tiwi Bombers and the Darwin Buffettes from 12.30pm at TIO Stadium.
In Round 3, the reigning premiers smashed the Bombers 11.17 (83) to 2.1 (13), but a lot has changed since then and the two sides only find themselves separated by four points heading into the match.
At 2.30pm is the men’s fixture between Tiwi and Darwin, and once again it’s an important match for both sides.
The Bombers have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, but the Buffaloes will want to cement their spot in the top four heading into the break.
Then it’s over to Gardens Oval for the top of the table clash between Waratah and Southern Districts from 4pm.
It’s the match everyone has been waiting for since the two emerged from the pack as strong favourites for the minor premiership.
And this match-up could very well decide who goes to top at the end of the season.
Back over at TIO Stadium we have what promises to be an exciting encounter between the Nightcliff Tigers and Palmerston Magpies from 5pm.
Both sides are in need of a bounce back victory after sharp dips in form, and against each other they have a chance to seize the win.
And finally at 7.30pm we have the last NTFL game of 2022 between reigning premiers St Mary’s and the competition’s newest side PINT.
PINT earned their first ever win in surprising fashion in this match-up, but it’s Saints who have carried the better form in recent weeks and will be out for revenge.
ROUND 11 REPLAYS
Getting us started in Round 11 is an exciting match-up between PINT and Tiwi Bombers at DXC Arena from 3pm, Saturday.
Last time these two sides met Tiwi ended their 988 day winless streak on Bathurst Island, but now they meet at PINT’s home, where they’re a force to be reckoned with.
Then it’s over to Norbuilt Oval for what is shaping up to be the match of the round between host side Southern Districts and reigning premiers St Mary’s from 4pm.
Districts have been one of the form sides of the year and sit second as a result, but after winning five matches in a row St Mary’s are now nipping at the Crocs heels.
Both sides will be giving it their all, as a win here further cements their place in the upper echelons of the NTFL table.
From 5pm we head back to TIO Stadium for our women’s match of the week where we will see Palmerston Magpies take on Wanderers.
The Magpies in particular should be well up for this match as they eye a potential finals spot, while the Muk Muks will be looking for their first win of the season.
Over at Gardens Oval from 6pm, Waratah will do battle with a Nightcliff Tigers side who need to bounce back after four losses on the trot.
League leaders Waratah are a tough prospect for any side, particularly at home, but Nightcliff, despite recent result, still have the players to get the job done.
And finally back at TIO Stadium at 7pm we have Palmerston men up against Wanderers.
Neither side enjoyed the result they might have liked in Round 10, and this week both sides will be looking to make amends in what should be a thrilling match-up.
ROUND 10 REPLAYS
Starting the action in Round 10 at TIO Stadium is the in-form St Mary’s up against bottom side Tiwi Bombers from 2pm.
The match was originally supposed to be played at Wurrumiyanga Oval but was moved to TIO Stadium at the request of the Bombers.
But expect no less passion between the two sides with St Mary’s hoping to make it five premier league wins in a row.
Then it’s over to Tracy Village Oval for what promises to be an exciting match-up between Wanderers and Southern Districts from 4pm.
Districts have been the better team this year winning the encounter last time, but the Muk Muks came close due to Steven Motlop’s third-quarter masterclass.
Back at TIO Stadium from 4.30pm Darwin Buffaloes will take on league leaders Waratah.
Both sides have plenty of talent in their ranks and have been in good form so far in the 2022-23 season, but the Buffaloes are the side more in need of a win after their Round 9 loss.
It’s then time for our women’s match between the Darwin Buffettes and the Tahs women to take over from 7pm.
The women’s reigning premiers haven’t quite managed the results they would have wanted in recent weeks, and against the second-placed Tahs know they have a hard task ahead.
At the same time over the road at DXC Arena we have the Palmerston Magpies up against a formidable PINT side.
It will be a chance for both sides to finally settle the score after they played to washed-out draw way back in Round 2.
ROUND 9 REPLAYS
Starting this week’s action is the 4pm match at Norbuilt Oval between Southern Districts and Palmerston Magpies.
The Crocs are flying at the top of the table, but Eddie Betts returning to Palmerston is sure to add some firepower to their side.
After that from 4.30pm over at DXC Arena we have our women’s match and it’s bound to be a cracker between top two sides Waratah and PINT.
Both sides have gone undefeated so far in the 2022-23 season, but in their first meeting of the year one side will have to lose that accolade.
At the same time at TIO Stadium we will see a resurgent St Mary’s take on a Darwin Buffaloes who have by this stage proved they’re more than a final’s contender.
Then from 6.30pm at DXC Arena the Tahs men face a challenge taking on PINT, who have yet to drop a game at their home ground.
Waratah have been one of the form sides of the year, but PINT have proved time and again they’re a side who can match it with anyone.
Then finally back at TIO Stadium from 7pm we have the Nightcliff Tigers up against Wanderers, in what is an important game for both sides.
Nightcliff, who have enjoyed so much success in recent years, have lost their past three matches, while Wanderers only just returned to the winner’s list in Round 8.
ROUND 8 REPLAYS
Kicking off the round is the match we’ve all been waiting for with one of the greatest players of all time Gary Ablett Jr running out for the Palmerston Magpies against St Mary’s.
Billed as one of the biggest NTFL regular season matches in some time, the Magpies have introduced star after star this year, and have unleashed their biggest name against the reigning premiers.
The 7pm Friday face-off is one which will hold plenty of meaning for both sides with Palmerston eyeing a return to the top of the table, while Saints could climb into the top four should they win.
Then on Saturday from 12.30pm we have the PINT women take on Southern Districts at TIO Stadium
There’s plenty to play for in this match with PINT having the chance to surge to the top of the table, while Districts are in need of a win to keep their chances alive.
At 4.30pm, it will be the men’s turn and in a twist from recent seasons the Darwin Buffaloes come in as the better placed side against Nightcliff Tigers.
Nightcliff crumbled to their third defeat of the season with their inability to kick straight, but coming to TIO Stadium for their very first time this year may change matters.
Being played at the same time from Tracy Village Oval is an interesting tussle between bottom sides Wanderers and Tiwi Bombers.
Both sides have plenty of potential, but potential means nothing without results and a result is what both will be battling for.
And finally back at TIO Stadium from 7pm is the in-form Southern Districts against the league’s newest side PINT.
The Crocs will want to continue their hot streak, but will know not to take the Greenants lightly as the latter team have proven themselves enough this season.
ROUND 7 REPLAYS
Up first in Round 7 is our second trip to Wurrumiyanga Oval where the Tiwi Bombers will host a strong Southern Districts outfit from 1.30pm.
The match presents an interesting match-up with the Bombers keen to keep their home record clean, while the Crocs have yet to win away from home.
Then we have our women’s match of the round between an in-form PINT, with an outstanding percentage of 1155, and the reigning premiers Darwin Buffettes at 2.30pm.
They will shortly following by the men’s match between the same clubs from 4.30pm.
Darwin Buffaloes have proved they’re a side back on the up in the 2022-23 season, while their PINT opponents have been no slouches in their first season.
At 6.30pm we head over to Nightcliff Oval where St Mary’s face-off against home side Nightcliff Tigers in what promises to be a belter.
This has been the biggest match-up of recent years and while neither side is up the top of the table at the moment, there will still be plenty of feeling in this one.
And finally from 7pm we go back to TIO Stadium for the round closer between Waratah and Wanderers.
These two teams sit at opposite ends of the table, but still have plenty to prove on the field, particularly Wanderers who won’t want to fall further behind on the table.
ROUND 6 REPLAYS
This Saturday will be jam-packed with NTFL action starting with a 3pm match at TIO Stadium between the women of Palmerston Magpies and Nightcliff Tigers.
It’s our first live look at the Nightcliff Tigers who made the grand final last season.
Then from 4pm match it’s over to Norbuilt Oval for the game between Southern Districts and Nightcliff.
Districts will savour the return home where they won their early matches, while Nightcliff will be hoping to end a trend of away defeats.
We head to TIO Stadium from 5pm where top of the table team Palmerston Magpies take on the Darwin Buffaloes side fresh off a bye.
Then from 6pm we head back to Gardens Oval for the Maurice Rioli Cup to be played between Tiwi Bombers and Waratah.
It will be the Bombers debut for St Mary’s icon Shannon Rioli, who will be hoping to help a resurgent Tiwi to their second win of the season.
And finally to end the chock-a-block day we go to DXC Arena from 7pm as PINT take on Wanderers, with both sides in need of a win.
ROUND 5 REPLAYS
Another big round of Top End footy starts on Friday from 8pm with a star-studded Palmerston Magpies facing off against a talented Wanderers unit at Cazalys Arena.
On Saturday we make our first trip to Bathurst Island where the Tiwi Bombers will host PINT from 1.45pm.
It will be the first NTFL game in almost a year played on the islands and the winless Bombers will be eager to please their home crowd.
Then we return to the mainland and get our first look at the Southern Districts women when they take on St Mary’s at TIO Stadium from 5pm.
Saints managed their first win of the season last week and will be hoping to continue their momentum, but Districts are looking strong and sure to put up a fight.
Over at Nightcliff Oval, the Nightcliff Tigers will take on Waratah from 6.30pm in what is shaping up to be the match of the round between two experienced sides.
And then back at TIO Stadium from 7pm the reigning premiers St Mary’s are in need of a win against an in-form Southern Districts.
ROUND 4 REPLAYS
The week’s entertainment starts with a trip to Gardens Oval where a firing Waratah will host a star-studded Palmerston from 6.30pm on Friday.
Then on Saturday, Nightcliff will be looking for a chance to shoot back up the table when they host a Tiwi Bombers unit still hunting a win from 2.30pm.
Over at TIO Stadium from 5pm, we have our women’s game between St Mary’s and Wanderers, and while neither side have managed a win both will be giving it their all.
Following on from 7pm we have the Wanderers men taking on reigning premiers St Mary’s.
It will be an important game for both sides with the Muk Muks without a win so far in the 2022-23 season, while Saints fell to new side PINT in Round 2.
And finally on Sunday it’s out to Cazalys Arena where the Darwin Buffaloes host Southern Districts with the latter side hoping to maintain their current unbeaten streak.
ROUND 3 REPLAYS
Kicking off Saturday’s entertainment is the Tiwi Bombers women who are on the hunt for win number two from as many weeks.
But they have will have strong competition coming up against Darwin Buffettes at TIO Stadium from 2.30pm.
Then we’re over at Norbuilt Oval for another Southern Districts home game.
The home side impressed in Round 2, but they know they have a challenge ahead when they take on current form side Waratah from 4pm.
At 4.30pm we’re back at TIO Stadium for what promises to be an exciting face-off between a Tiwi side hoping to impress and a Darwin Buffaloes contingent looking to prove themselves.
Then we pop over the road to the DXC Arena because at 7pm PINT will host their first ever Men’s Premier League home game against a St Mary’s side who delivered a thrashing last week.
And finally we’re at Cazalys Arena from 7.30pm where a star-studded Palmerston will be hoping to fire against a strong Nightcliff side who enjoyed the week off.
ROUND 2 REPLAYS
St Mary’s kicked off Round 2 searching for some redemption when they return to Gardens Oval to face the Tiwi Bombers from 2.30pm on Saturday.
At the same time a thrilling contest was in store in the women’s competition between top sides Waratah and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium.
Both teams enjoyed crushing victories in the opening round of the competition so expect a spectacle in Round 2.
Then from 4pm Southern Districts will play their first game of the men’s season hosting a Wanderers side hoping to grab a win at Norbuilt Oval.
Over at TIO Stadium a confident and well-gelled Waratah unit will face off against a Darwin Buffaloes side with some confidence from 4.30pm.
And finally at 7pm the Palmerston Magpies, complete with some AFL heroes such as Eddie Betts, fought out a storm struck thriller against PINT.
ROUND 1 REPLAYS
The opening round promises to be a thriller with Waratah out for an early taste of revenge in their grand final rematch against St Mary’s at Gardens Oval from 6.30pm on Friday.
Then on Saturday history will be made with the Tiwi Bombers playing their first ever game in the Women’s Premier League.
Their curtain raising match against Palmerston Magpies at TIO Stadium will be streamed from 12.30pm.
Then the men of Tiwi make their return to the NTFL, after Covid curtailed their 2021-22 stint, against a strengthened Palmerston from 2.30pm.
Staying at TIO Stadium Darwin Buffaloes will take on Wanderers in what will be a telling first match encounter from 5pm.
And finally from 6.30pm, PINT will also mark a historic moment as they play their first ever Men’s Premier League game against Nightcliff at Nightcliff Oval.
Head of AFLNT Sam Gibson said he was excited to drive exposure of the competition after the success of the partnership across the past two seasons.
“Last season we saw great benefit and significant engagement with the TIO NTFL season through our partnership with the NT News,” he said.
“Being the second year of the partnership, we saw natural progression in what we were able to offer to our stakeholder groups and this led to significant increases in viewership.
“We’re really pleased to be extending our broadcast relationship with NT News for the 22-23 TIO NTFL Season and see this as a key component of the continued development of the competition.”
NT News Editor Denise Cahill said the News Corp team was excited to partner with AFLNT for a third season.
“This season will be even more action-packed because we’ll be live streaming a women’s match, as well as the four men’s games, each week,” she said.
