The 2022-23 NTFL season kicked off with a bang between reigning premier St Mary’s and rival Waratah at Gardens Oval.

As has become the norm in recent years, St Mary’s are boasting a side full of firepower with goal scorers and midfield guns filling out every inch of their squad.

Nate Paredes is once again at the helm of the side and will be eager to see his squad mates from Chaney medallist Jackson Calder to NT News Player of the Year Nick Yarran in action once more.

However, in an extra bit of spice the opening game is a grand final rematch against hosts Waratah, who will be out for revenge following last year’s loss.

Brodie Carroll, Dylan Collis, Jayden Magro and Robbie Turnbull are just some of the players from Waratah looking to settle the score.
