Boy, 16, caught allegedly speeding in a stolen vehicle without a licence on M1 motorway
A teen boy has been charged after allegedly driving a stolen car almost 200km per hour without a licence, during a late night high-speed chase along Princes Highway in Sydney’s south.

Highway patrol officers launched a high-speed chase – allegedly involving two teenage boys driving an allegedly stolen car on the M1 motorway – reaching almost 200 kilometres per hour in Sydney’s south.
A 15-year-old and 16-year-old boy have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a police pursuit that ensued after the teens were discovered allegedly driving a stolen car around 3am on Towradgi Rd, Towradgi.
Police allege the car was stolen from a home in Newport, North Sydney on Sunday night.
The teens allegedly failed to follow police orders to pull over, and fled onto the M1 motorway at 180 kilometres per hour, towards Helensburgh.
Police continued their pursuit as the alleged teen driver recklessly exited the motorway, and went around to the other side of the motorway, speeding south towards Wollongong.
The chase slowed to a halt as the allegedly stolen car ran out of petrol near Bulli Tops.
The 16-year-old boy was charged for dangerous driving offences including not following a stop order, speeding during a police pursuit, driving a car without consent from the owner and not having a licence.
The 15-year-old boy was charged for riding in a stolen car and breaching bail.
They were refused bail after appearing in a Children’s Court on April 18.
