Power bill battler numbers up 18pc

The number of people struggling to pay electricity bills jumped 18 per cent between 2022 and 2023, the competition regulator found, underscoring the cost-of living crisis that has sapped support for the government.

Preschool fees hand-out in budget

Parents struggling to get their children into preschool will soon be able to access more than $430 million in fee relief, while more than 9000 additional children will have access to preschool, as part of the NSW state budget.
