The Hill Eatery
Contemporary$$
Of an early evening, The Hill is filled with sunlight, bright beachy crowds and holiday cheer. Part of the revived North Bondi strip, it's another good-drinks-and-shared-plates kind of place, using fine produce and a splash of Bondi Beautiful style. While it's tempting to break the Under $30 budget, a shared board of cheeses, charcuterie and house-cured pickles, the generous roast of the day (two massive, crunchy crackling-topped pork belly strips with roast vegies, perhaps), a house soup or a huge salad (such as ultra-fluffy falafel with beetroot, raw veg and quinoa) won't break the bank. Some good-value wine choices, too.
