Leeuwin Estate Restaurant
Modern Australian$$$
Established by Denis and Tricia Horgan in 1972, the family-owned Leeuwin Estates was one of the five founding wineries of the Margaret River District. The sleek restaurant, with its sweeping verandahs, bifold doors and domed skylights overlooks a tranquil meadow surrounded by magnificent karri trees. Diners drive, fly and even arrive by helicopter to sample chef Dany Angove's regional cooking, focusing on local asparagus, venison, lamb, seafood, berries and cheese.
