Old-school jaffles, homemade sausage rolls and more.

In the tiny town of Cann River, Snaffle is the perfect pit stop for those passing through the Gippsland region – perhaps returning from a coastal camping trip in Mallacoota or Merimbula, or tackling the lengthy road trip back to Melbourne from Sydney.
The menu revolves around loaded jaffles – typically only $10 a pop, more or less – including a brekkie number packed with egg, bacon, gooey cheese, native pepperberry chutney and caramelised onion, or a smokey baked bean and cheese mix. There are plenty of vegan options, too.
Jaffles aside, there’s also smoothies and a cabinet filled with snacks like homemade sausage rolls, plus ready-made salads, wraps, sandwiches and baked goods. Coffee is by Code Black.
Stocking up on camping staples or looking for some goodies to take back home? Snaffle’s fridges are filled with local produce including cheeses, deli goods, milk and more, while shelves are stocked with local honey, jams, preserves and flowers, all available to purchase.
