Aangan
Indian$$
The barely contained merriment of the crowd at this busy Indian eatery is like a wedding reception- doubly so given the marquees and fairy-lights in the sprawling beer garden. Aangan's signature dishes are a fusion of Indian and Chinese cuisines: try kofta-like dumplings or battered paneer drizzled in a mouthwatering Manchurian soya sauce, or chowmein given a subtle subcontinental makeover. More familiar fare is well turned-out, but even the humble pappadum gets dressed up for the occasion, served pizza-style with a lemon-infused tomato, onion and chilli topping. Here's to a long and loving union.
