Former AFL star Jimmy Bartel has been taking a break from the spotlight on an action-packed trip to Japan with his girlfriend Lauren Mand.

AFL Brownlow Medallist Jimmy Bartel and his new girlfriend Lauren Mand have been enjoying a romantic trip to Japan, which has taken them both back to their childhoods.
The former Geelong Cats star and Mand have been enjoying the sites of the popular Asian destination by hitting up Tokyo DisneySea, a 176-acre theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort just outside Tokyo.
Mand posted a selfie of them both at the theme park, where she wore Minnie Mouse ears with a shoutout to Bartel in a caption that read: “Hey Mickey you’re so fine.”
He was wearing a Goofy-inspired hat.
They also roamed around the streets of Tokyo in a real-life Mario Kart where they both dressed up as Mr Potato Head and Dory.
They posted a series of photos with Mand commenting it felt like she was living out her inner child.
“Living out my childhood in real life. Such a highlight seeing Tokyo at night, driving around like Mario Kart,” she wrote.
They also went to an art exhibition at the Mori Building Digital Art Museum, the world’s first digital art museum in Tokyo.
Before getting to Tokyo, the couple also went sight seeing in Kyoto.

Bartel was first pictured with Mand in Sydney last year on August 28, where they were seen in a four-hour long catch-up at trendy restaurant, Manly Greenhouse.
Mand moved back from London to Melbourne after the pair started their relationship.
Mand was said to have put her London apartment up for sublet for $1500 a month in late September last year.
Bartel and his former wife Nadia share two sons, Aston, 3 and Henley, 1.
She has gone to co-host the red carpet for the glamorous Brownlow Medal and continues to grow her fashion line, Henne.
She has also hosted Ten’s Melbourne Cup Carnival coverage and featured in Seven’s striptease reality TV show, Ladies Night.
