A double amputee toddler, who shot to fame and won the hearts of the nation when he danced to a famous Chinese pop song, is learning to walk again after being fitted with his first pair of temporary prosthetics. Brave Four-year-old Xiaofeng had both his legs amputated, following a car accident two years ago in his hometown of Enshi, a city in central China’s Hubei Province. After multiple operations, he is now undergoing rehabilitation with prosthetics. In March, Xiaofeng was transferred to the Disabled Rehabilitation Center in provincial capital Wuhan, where physicians have been preparing him to walk once more. Doctors said Xiaofeng, who cried when doctors fitted plaster on his legs to make a mould for his prosthetics, has been more at ease at the rehabilitation centre, as the crowded hospital where he had his operations often made him nervous and quiet.
