Scott Chalmers agrees to meet woman who put up posters to meet the man who smiled at her
A WOMAN, who saw a shirtless “boy with star tattoos” and put up a poster asking to meet him, has had her dreams realised.
WHO said romance was dead?
A young woman, now known as Sarah, captivated by a shirtless man playing with his dog at Picton on New Zealand’s South Island, decided she had to meet him after he smiled at her.
Sarah made posters about the young man, Will Chalmers, and put them up in the coastal town.
THIS IS WHY ROMANCE IS NOT DEAD
WHEN ROMANCE FOR TRAVLLERS GOES SOUR
“Is this you?” the poster reads.
“I was sitting on the grass on Friday watching the sea ... you were playing with your dog. You ran past me and smiled.
“Would you like to go for a drink/coffee/walk??? I’m in Wellington just now, my ferry arrives back in Picton on Tuesday 3rd.
“I’m in town for 1 night only ... But let’s see how things go ... On the off-chance you are single, remember who I am and would like to meet for a drink/coffee/walk.
“I’ll be sitting on the grass, watching the sea from 1-1.30pm onwards on Tuesday ... Maybe you’ll run past again?!?”
The smitten young woman also stuck up another note asking that her poster not be removed.
“In the spirit of happy endings, give this sign a chance to be seen by the right eyes,” she wrote on note.
“It may even bring a dozen or so people back on Tuesday, intrigued ... who is this girl with the long brown hair and the boy with the star tattoos and the dog and will they meet for a drink?
“I will, on my return to Picton on Tuesday, remove it myself ... Whatever the ending may be. Thank you!”
The posters took social media by storm after being posted by Beachcombers Fun Cruises.
And in the true spirit of romance, the “boy with the star tattoos”, saw the posters and responded.
“Yeah, thats me. Haha I too am looking forward to Tuesday,” Will Scott Chalmers posted on his Facebook page.
Now all the social media is abuzz with anticipation. Will they meet, will they hit it off?
Sarah arrived in Picton on the boat from Wellington and waited patiently for Will.
William said he will meet Sarah and ask her out to dinner tonight and he duly appeared to greet Sarah this afternoon.
“Hello I’m William, you know you can just ask for my number, Let’s get away from the crowd and go somewhere for a drink,” he said and walked off hugging Sarah.”
