WHILE Emma Watson advocates for #HeForShe, Q & A offers ups its first all-female panel and International Women’s Day draws to a close, one four-year-old girl is creating waves of her own in the playground.

After being called “ugly” by a boy at school, the girl came back with a response that wouldn’t have been better even if Lena Dunham had delivered it.

“A little boy said I look ugly,” she’s seen saying to her mother in a video posted on YouTube.

“I said, ‘I didn’t come here to make a fashion statement; I came here to learn, not look pretty’.

“And the little boy said I look bad. And I said, ‘Did you look in the mirror lately?’

“Bye bye, see you later, you’re making me mad!”

Since the video landed on YouTube, it has accumulated 1.8 million views. Check it out below:

This story reminds us of 10-year-old Jetta Fosberg, who was also called ugly at school after cutting her hair to donate to cancer charity Wigs for Kids.

Jetta’s mum started an anti-bullying Facebook page for her, which clocked up more than 121,300 likes in a few days.

“Knowing that there’s people who think that my haircut’s cute, and that they think that I’m a good person, it kind of helps me fight against [the bullies],” Jetta said at the time.
