Though just a stone's throw from Ocean Grove's main drag, Napona is a world away with its elegant flavours and service professionalism. Choose to sit on the gum-shaded deck or in the bright, uncluttered dining room for bang-on brekkies (say, tomato and saffron baked eggs) and accomplished lunches; dinners are beyond budget. Beautifully seasoned pumpkin fritters are a sweet and textural mouthful, served with a nutty and fragrant cracked wheat salad; sticky pork belly and cabbage is redolent of XO sauce. Everything from the sourdough bread to the tasting plate's eel brandade are house-made - and it shows in the delicious result.
