The Ducks have given Bronte the eating spot it's longed for: good food, good Single O coffee, a part-of-the-furniture local feel and (upcoming) dinner openings, new bar area and bar food menu. Otherwise, it's a laid-back breakfast, lunch and brunch haven for Bronte-siders and visitors alike, with swirling, almost too-bright-at-brekkie murals and surfside-casual service. Top tips include a simple spread of avo on herbed olive oil-drizzled Iggy's sourdough with tangy tomato and basil; and justifiably famous scrambled eggs with black pudding. The fruity muffins and crumbly tarts are deftly house-baked, and lunchtime specials include coconut-chilli poached chicken with organic quinoa or a superior steak sambo with red pepper mayo.
