Artist saving farmers one bale at a time

ARTIST and photographer, Marie Ramos is saving drought stricken farmers one bale of hay at a time. The Lane Cove resident has teamed up with Buy a Bale charity and local north shore schools to help Aussie farmers in need.

TIGER the greyhound earned her stripes by having a preliminary blood test so she can become a lifesaving donor to the University of Sydney’s canine blood bank as a part of DoSomething Day.

A revamp of Mt Druitt Hospital’s palliative care ward garden is set to ease the strain on families visiting loved ones in their final days: “It’s just going to make the journey that happens in there so much better, and more memorable.”

Kambala school gives back
