CAMERON King isn’t the type of person who needs motivation to help out the community but the Parramatta Eels star was more than happy to embrace the spirit of DoSomething Day as he paid a visit to Northcott House in Parramatta today.
King spent more than an hour at the disability services centre chatting with fans, posing for photos and even provided a helping hand for a game of footy.
The injured Eels hooker became an ambassador for Northcott earlier this year and he says it’s a privilege to be involved with the charity.
“We’re pretty lucky and privileged to be able to do what we love to do and being involved with the community comes with that,” King said.
“For me, I’ve been injured a lot so I’ve been able to do a lot more than most and it’s something that I really enjoy doing and to be able to come on board as an ambassador for Northcott was something that I thought would be a great opportunity for me.
“Coming down here, meeting everyone and seeing how happy and determined they are each day and just being able to help and make their day a little bit brighter whenever I come in is a good feeling.”
