Inflation slows as housing market cools

Underlying inflation fell last month to its equal-lowest level in more than three years as price pressures cooled across the housing market.

Trimmed mean inflation, the RBA’s preferred measure of underlying inflation, fell from 2.8 per cent in January to 2.7 per cent in February, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday.
