Bullock rejects interest rate vote disclosure

Michele Bullock looks set to reject a recommendation to reveal how board members vote at Reserve Bank of Australia meetings and instead implement a watered-down model in which that information will only be published in exceptional circumstances.

The 2023 RBA review recommended the central bank publish anonymised board member interest rate votes after each monetary policy meeting, which would have brought the central bank in line with many of its international peers.
