Forget WFH – what it’s really like to ‘work from anywhere’

He was less than two months into a new job, but Martin Piron was expecting to take some extended, unpaid leave. He had booked a month-long trip back to Belgium, his country of origin, before getting a job at employment agency Seek in April 2022.

After years of rolling pandemic restrictions, the senior systems engineer was desperate for some real face time with family and had been upfront about his travel plans when he took the job.
