Haidilao Hot Pot
Frenetic hotpot chain with cuisine-bending broths.

Free manicure while you wait? It’s just one of the enhancements this global hotpot chain offers, along with food-delivering robots and noodle-twirling performances.
If you want serenity, this isn’t the place. The condiment stations, which offer an impressive array of sauces and sides, are busy, and staff are often serenading guests with Happy Birthday. That said, an efficient iPad-ordering system tends to calm everything down.
You can go fancy and order abalone and wagyu, but neither are essential. The marbled beef melts in your mouth, sure, but only marginally more than the thinly sliced lamb.
Save your money and order the maximum amount of hotpot broths (four), our favourites being the unctuous Sichuan-pepper spiked number, fragrant tom yum and the savoury mushroom. Swirl through noodles, vegies and other textural ingredients, and you’re ready for a rocking hotpot party. (Also at Darling Square.)
