A COMMUNITY Christmas tree brings a lot of joy to Gayndah locals, but it doesn't happen without a lot of hard work from volunteers.

After bringing Christmas spirit to Gayndah since November, it's time for the spectacle to be packed down until next November.

Community groups will come together this Saturday, January 12, to pack away the tree and its decorations.

Locals are encouraged to come along from 6.30am to help with the workload on the Gayndah courthouse lawn..

"Everyone is welcome to come along and help,” community member Dael Giddins said.

"It is not hard work and should take about an hour and a half.”
