NSW small businesses can claim $2000

It's been a long wait but Bunnings enthusiasts can finally snag a sausage sizzle from this weekend.

The hardware giant has announced the iconic barbeque delicacy will make its return, with community groups to start firing up the gas in a number of days.

Bunnings Chief Operating Officer Simon McDowell said he was "really excited" to get sausage sizzles back up and running from October 16 after three months of a snag sanga drought.

"We know how much our customers have missed the weekend tradition, and we’re really pleased local community groups will be able to get back behind the BBQs to raise funds," Mr McDowell said.

Bunnings sausage sizzles will return in a staggered rollout, with most stores expected to have their barbeques back up and running "in the next few weeks" as teams organise their sizzles to meet Covid-safe requirements.
