This modern pub with its clean, fresh surrounds is an oasis. The bistro includes an outdoor eating area and a glass-enclosed kids' playroom. A lengthy menu aims to please everyone from healthy eaters to those in training for the Biggest Loser. Favourites include home-made shepherd's pie, beer-battered flathead and five-spice duck. The specials list has a cattleman's cutlet, which is a 750-gram rib-eye with prawns, bearnaise sauce, salad and chips. Try to fit in a dessert of tiramisu or chocolate mud cake after that. A whole Thai-style snapper with yellow curry sauce was perfectly cooked and chicken with sage wrapped in prosciutto enjoyable.
