A party starter for the Christmas season.

Ingredients

  • 20 cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 20 fresh mozzarella cherries (small balls of mozarella)

  • 40 basil leaves

  • freshly ground pepper

  • extra virgin olive oil

Method

  1. On a cocktail skewer line up first a half cherry tomato, then a basil leaf, a cherry mozzarella, a basil leaf and finish with another cherry tomato half.

    Grind some pepper over it and just before serving drizzle with drops of very good extra virgin olive oil

    Makes 20.
