The truth about flexible work and the gender pay gap

New data shows there are stark differences between the private and public sectors when it comes to formative ways of working.

Far more women in the public sector work full-time – and earn more – because flexible conditions allow them to work and also manage caring responsibilities, new data shows.

The Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s newly released Commonwealth Public Sector Gender Equality Scorecard shows 98 per cent of Commonwealth employers have policies or strategies designed around flexible working arrangements.
