White-collar employers who have ordered staff to attend the office more frequently over the past six months should be regarded as outliers and not part of a large-scale return to in-office work, research suggests.

Amazon, Tabcorp, Woolworths and Coles are just some of the big corporate names to have made headlines for introducing return-to-office mandates to foster collaboration and innovation.
