United Arab Emirates developer Arada, which this week took control of Roberts Co NSW, will use the Sydney-based builder as its “main delivery arm” for a pipeline of 5000 homes it expects to have in place within the next 24 months, chief executive Ahmed Alkhoshaibi said.
The deal to acquire Roberts Co NSW, which took less than two months from start to finish, kicked off when earlier this year the contractor asked Arada’s local arm if it could tender for a 447-apartment project on a Carrington Road site in northwestern Sydney’s Castle Hill, Alkhoshaibi said.
