John Holland faces court for ‘refusing’ silica dust tests

Builder John Holland has been accused of barring a union from investigating concerns of allegedly dangerous levels of silica dust in a key tunnel connecting Sydney’s $16.5 billion Westconnex motorway.

The Australian Workers Union has launched Federal Court action over the builder’s alleged refusal to let an official on the WestConnex–Western Harbour Tunnel site this month in a test case on unions’ right to bring dust detectors onto building sites.
