Investor son of secretive mining heiress comes back into the fold

The son of reclusive iron ore heiress Angela Bennett has rejoined the family office to help allocate the billions of dollars in proceeds from the sale of a stake in a mining project that has sent her wealth skyrocketing.

The Bennetts are heirs to a fortune made by Peter Wright, Angela Bennett’s father and Lang Hancock’s business partner. While Hancock’s daughter Gina Rinehart oversees her iron ore empire, the Bennett and Wright families struck a partnership with Rio Tinto to develop their holdings.
