Brisbane not too small for ‘Australia’s Games’: Liveris

The 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics will showcase the cohesion and success of Australia, says organising committee president Andrew Liveris, casting aside suggestions the Queensland capital is too small to host the event.

“Take your brain away from Brisbane,” he said. “This is Queensland’s Games, and this is Australia’s Games. You’ve got to get a sense of ownership on what is in essence the smallest city to ever host the Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
