Bargaining ‘in danger of collapse’ unless IR reforms pass

New research shows the enterprise bargaining system is at its lowest level in more than 22 years after a massive drop in new agreements over the past decade, threatening hopes of wage growth.

The Business Council of Australia used the report released on Thursday to urge the Senate to pass the government’s reforms on bargaining and stave off what it said was an impending collapse in agreements that would be a “disaster” for jobs and wages.
