Ban restraints on poaching staff: RBA board member
Workers should be allowed to solicit former colleagues to jump ship to competitors and staff should be paid while subject to non-compete clauses, a Reserve Bank board member and ex-workplace tribunal chief has urged.
Former Fair Work Commission president Iain Ross made the recommendations in a new research paper that warns that employers’ use of non-competes will only accelerate if the federal government fails to intervene and regulate them.
