What started out as a client request to hire more people with disabilities on a major facilities management contract, has become a company-wide mission at ASX-listed infrastructure services giant Ventia.
This whole-of-government client set a 5 per cent participation rate for employees with a disability. But when Ventia identified that people with a disability comprise approximately 17 per cent of Australia’s population, it decided to challenge the status quo and set targets that were proportionally representative.
