Consensus has firmed that the Reserve Bank of Australia will begin reducing rates in February, with more cuts to come as 2025 rolls on.

“It’s highly likely the cash rate will go down in 2025. It’s just a huge question mark over when and how many cuts we’ll see,” says Sally Tindall, Canstar data insights director.
