Just returned to Australia? You’ve got six months to bring home super
Although tracking down overseas retirement savings might not always seem like a priority for returning expats, it is wise to push this job up the list.

But there’s still work to be done when it comes to repatriating your superannuation from time spent working overseas.
First, when arriving back on shore, your Australian employer will require you to supply details of your Australian super fund for future employer contribution purposes. This might be an old fund you had in place when you were younger or a self-managed super fund that continued while you were overseas.
