Australians abroad are in great emotional pain, separated from their loved ones and longing to return home amid tight pandemic travel rules.

″ They have taken away family memories that can never be replaced,” says Charlotte, cuddling her baby daughter. “It’s inhuman, it feels like the Australian government doesn’t care about human rights.”

Her partner Sam adds: “Our Australian passports have become worthless.”
