Linktree sacked an employee who complained another staffer was given special treatment because she was friends with the firm’s chief executive, according to a new claim filed with the Federal Court.

Nicola Proud, who was a business operations manager at the start-up, has accused the company of concocting a “nonsensical” allegation about her work and demoting her before she was due to go on maternity leave.
