More men should try Pilates, says this Sydney CEO

Entrepreneur Dorry Kordahi gave weight training the flick when he discovered Pilates. Now, it’s his go to for a great workout and a mental recharge. He answers our Time Out Q&A.

Dorry Kordahi is chief executive at Swanky Socks and managing director of DKM Blue. He lives in Sydney.

How did you get into Pilates and how long have you been practising it?
I got into Pilates after years of weight training because I wanted a change in my workout method. I’d always known Pilates was a great workout, but when a friend suggested I try it, I brushed it off at first (like most guys do). Eventually, I gave it a go, and was hooked from the first class. That was about two years ago, and I’ve never looked back.
