Afterpay co-founder Nick Molnar has been elevated to Block’s head of sales, making him the executive responsible for getting its flagship digital wallet Cash App, Square and Afterpay picked up by more merchants and consumers.

Mr Molnar will report directly to chief executive Jack Dorsey. “I’m proud of the high-performing sales culture we’ve built in our team, and the track record we’ve created with Afterpay and now Cash App in the US,” Mr Molnar told The Australian Financial Review. “I look forward to unifying our sales talent under one roof to help deliver more value across the entire Block ecosystem.”
