Sweet Nectar Inn
A lo-fi neighbourhood bottleshop, bar and pantry in one.
Modern Australian$
At Sweet Nectar, owners Devon Hunter and Sam O’Farrell have rolled a bottleshop, bar and pantry into a one-stop lo-fi neighbourhood shop in Nicholson Street, Coburg. The understated, wood-clad interiors were fitted out by Hunter and O’Farrell themselves, complete with an eclectic tiled bar comprising 300 tiles hand made and glazed by O’Farrell.
Pop in for a glass (or bottle) of natural local wine, plus cold tap beer and cocktail specials, or go picnic shopping and peruse the selection of takeaway drops and food supplies lining the shelves and fridges. You might find freshly baked Akimbo loaves, pickles by Acide, Istra smallgoods, or four-packs of Love Shack pale ale.
Feel like eating in? Grab any provisions from the cheese fridge and pantry to create a BYO-style picnic – staff will happily supply plates and knives for you to enjoy in-house. Tap wine is also available to take away in one-litre refillable bottles.
