Kluska
European$$
Kluska’s vodka menu complements the food menu (or is it the other way around?), walls are adorned with photos of Poland, and the cute converted house feels like grandma’s place. Pierogi are made to the owner-cook’s mum’s recipe. They’re stuffed with light fillings such as silky potato and cottage cheese and topped with sticky caramelised onion. Dense, garlicky house-made kielbasa (pork sausage) sets you up nicely for more vodka, as will crepes enveloping mildly spiced, tomatoey beef mince. Continue with sweet berry pierogi, the skin’s slight saltiness a foil for the fruit.
