Twilight Terror is all about build-your-own brown rice and broth bowls, plus contemporary takes on all-day breakfast classics. Broths that take 24 hours to make, with add-ins ranging from turmeric and cumin-tossed cauliflower to miso-glazed eggplant on the vegie front, and grilled salmon, poached chicken and Sichuan-marinated tofu as protein.

Non-bowl dishes include zucchini-haloumi fritters with spiced yoghurt and harissa oil, and a version of avocado toast pimped with jalapeno salsa, goats cheese and plantain crisps.

The cosy interiors have a retro feel with arched walls, maroon booths and warm timbers, plus features like a reclaimed factory window and Art Deco lighting. Like the Yolk Group’s other venues (Convoy, Tinker, Ophelia), Terror Twilight is named after an album – in this case by ’90s indie rockers Pavement – and they have the vinyl collection on display to prove it.
