Filipino$$

Karaoke fun and pork on the menu.

They say it’s more fun in the Philippines, but Lazza comes a close second with the offer of a Filipino feast and good times all around, karaoke included.

Crisp lumpia (spring rolls) are always a crowd pleaser, but the menu’s most valuable player is the pork sisig, which stars grilled pig cheek served on a sizzling skillet and topped with an egg, onions, chillies and lemon.

Mix it up and enjoy each crunchy, juicy bite with a touch of citrus and spice. For something more substantial, the tangy tamarind-based sinigang is soul food in the form of a restorative broth, prepared with either pork, prawn or milkfish and loaded with vegetables.

If you have the misfortune of sharing dessert, at least order an extra scoop of subtly smoky ube ice-cream.
