Kommunity TV is live!

News Corp has flicked the switch on a new era of sport streaming - an era when community and grassroots athletes are at the forefront of everything we do.

Kommunity TV will be officially launched on June 10 and what better way to kick off the action than with a flood of exciting content over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

In short, it will be the new home of community sport live streaming across Australia.

Kommunity TV is the next phase of News Corp’s burgeoning sport live streaming program, which has showcased some of the biggest sporting events and season-long competitions throughout the country over the past three years.

All existing News Corp metro and regional masthead subscribers will have access to Kommunity TV - another great benefit as a valued subscriber. It will offer readers unprecedented access to the nation’s most exciting crop of home grown talent.

It will also provide an opportunity for sports and associations to increase their exposure and participation footprint like never before.

We are excited to launch Kommunity TV with an impressive offering of sporting content.

This will include Australia’s premier junior invitational basketball tournament, the National Junior Classic, as well as the Judo Australia National Championships, Victorian junior country soccer championships and the Netball SA Country Championships.

On top of that, Kommunity TV will continue to grow News’ season-long partnerships with the AFL NAB League, NRL Schoolboys Cup, Queensland School Sport Rugby League, Victorian Netball League, Southern Football League, Netball SA Premier League and SANFL.

We also have an ever-expanding list of exciting new content to be rolled out over the second half of 2022.

The launch of Kommunity TV is a watershed moment for News’ National Sports Network and taps into our core value of supporting the growth of sport from the grassroots to the elite.

It will also play a key role in unearthing and showcasing Australia’s future Olympians, who will bring a golden touch to Brisbane 2032.

News Sport Network managing director Michael Wilkins said Kommunity TV was the logical progression for News’ sports live streaming program, which had gone from humble beginnings to a national leader in recent years.

“We have seen more and more people turning to digital platforms to consume live sport,” Mr Wilkins said.

“We know Kommunity TV will be a crucial next step in this evolution of sports broadcasting.

“This is an opportunity for community sporting organisations to improve their overall exposure in the local and wider community, but also a chance to bring those communities closer together. And it’s not just about the vision, but the stories about our future sport stars that the biggest sport network in Australia will bring to life each week.

“We are proud to launch Kommunity TV and look forward to watching the best young athletes across the country.”
