PLC will be bringing a relatively young team to Tuggerah due to outside commitments and sports co-ordinator Jack Garrad said it’s a great opportunity for the younger girls.
“There are some younger, up and coming girls,” Garrad said.
“It might not be our strongest squad, but it still provides some of those development players a chance to go out.
“I expect Willa Pearson will be a standout, along with Ruby Azar, Holly Mitchell and Madison Gabila.”
PLC will face 2023 champions St Mary Mackillop College, 2022 winners Xavier College and Mater Dei College from Wagga Wagga in the battle for the tier one girls title.
“It’s good to come across schools we’ve never played before,” Garrad said.
“But we won’t really be going into it with any expectations, the biggest thing is just to have a little bit of fun.
“We just need to keep it simple, not try to complicate things too much with a brand new squad.”
The PLC community has really got behind the team as well and Garrad said it is great that they can watch the finals from home.
“The parents and school community really get on board and follow us throughout the day,” he said.
“And obviously with it being filmed with (KommunityTV), being able to broadcast that out to the school community is awesome.”
