South Australian netball will launch into a new era with the state’s top competition set to reach another level in 2022.
For the first time, the Netball SA Premier League will be broadcast live by The Advertiser with a exclusive double-header fixture every Friday night this season.
It all begins with blockbuster clash between Contax and Matrics to kickstart the Netball SA competition on April 29, with the Premier League and reserves matches to be live streamed on advertiser.com.au from 7pm.

Netball SA chief executive Bronwyn Klei said the live streaming deal was significant and would bring new audiences to the elite competition, which is a breeding ground for future Adelaide Thunderbirds and Australian Diamonds.
“We’re proud to be partnering with a globally successful media company, securing a high quality live stream and regular coverage of our competition,” Klei said.
“We have the best netballers in the state playing in this competition – it’s time more people see what they can offer.”
The Premier League, which will culminate with grand finals in August, brings together the best of SA’s current and emerging talent.
Klei said a number of big recruits and special had set up an exciting 2022 season for the state’s pinnacle netball competition.
“We’re excited to be delivering a Mental Health Round this year, thanks to our new naming rights partner The Hospital Research Foundation Group,” she said.
“The round will raise much-needed awareness and funds to fight mental illness in our community.
“In addition, for the first time in our competition’s history, we will have all eight clubs donning Indigenous dress designs for our First Nations Rounds.”
As well as the weekly coverage of the Premier League, The Advertiser will also live stream this year’s Netball SA Country Championships over the June long weekend.
It follows our successful broadcast coverage of the state’s largest netball competition in 2021.
