At the click of a button, scorned lovers have the power to humiliate their victims through ‘revenge porn’. Here are some of the most shocking cases heard in NSW courts.

It’s a crime that was relatively unheard of just a few years ago, but is now commonly bringing many embittered exes and predators before the courts.
Often used to control, manipulate or humiliate a person, the sharing of someone’s intimate images without their consent only became criminalised in 2017, with offenders now facing hefty fines or jail time.
Here are some of the most shocking cases of revenge porn witnessed in NSW and ACT courts.
FABRICIO DA SILVA CLAUDINO
The Brazilian amateur porn star is set to be deported from the country over his conviction in a high-profile revenge porn case where he posted explicit photos on a porn site.
Fabricio Da Silva Claudino was convicted after he illegally recorded himself having sex with a man he met on dating app Grindr before he uploaded the video to paid porn site OnlyFans in 2019.
The 32-year-old uploaded multiple images exposing the victim’s genitals and promoted the account to his 100,000 Twitter followers and nearly 30,000 Instagram followers before he was charged.
Claudino was jailed for up to 11 months, with seven months non-parole after a failed attempt to revert his initial guilty plea to a string of charges.
He is expected to be deported to Brazil after serving his jail stint.

ANDREU SERRA
The 31-year-old northern beaches man came before the courts last year after he sent a woman threatening messages before sending an explicit video of her to a friend.
Serra admitted to sharing a secretly-recorded video of the pair having sex to a mutual friend over Facebook after sending her a barrage of harassing messages.
In one of the messages, Serra threatened to make the woman’s life a “nightmare” and “F*** up everything and everyone (she was) close to”.
He pleaded guilty to five a raft of charges, including intentionally distributing an intimate image without consent and stalking/intimidation.

VAHID KHODABANDEH
The 37-year-old Lakemba man was convicted after he threatened to send explicit images of a Japanese student to her mother if she did not agree to see him again.
Vahid Khodabandeh threatened to send a screenshot of a naked photo of the 20-year-old woman to her mum if she didn’t fly from Melbourne to Sydney to visit him, despite the woman pleading she couldn’t afford a plane ticket.
He admitted to the offence and was handed a Correctional Release Order of 12 months.
Upon a District Court appeal, Khodabandeh’s sentence was upheld but without a conviction being recorded.

PETE FARRAWELL-SMITH
The Gosford father was jailed after he split with a woman and then taunted her by filming a video of him having sex with her sister.
Peter Farrawell-Smith pursued his ex-wife’s sister after they broke up, secretly recording a Snapchat video of the woman performing oral sex on him with the caption, “Wife cheats on me. Her sister sucks my c*** haha”.
The 35-year-old was charged in November 2019 after Farrawell-Smith’s ex-wife came across the footage and it was reported to police.
He was given a six-month jail sentence and a Community Corrections Order for 18 months.

CODY PRATT
An aspiring army leader’s career came tumbling down after he showed his colleagues a video of a woman he had recorded filming a sex act upon him.
The former lieutenant, Cody Pratt, was booted from the Australian Defence Force when he was convicted of six counts of distributing an intimate image without consent last October.
The court found Pratt was chasing an ego boost when he showed his army mates compromising sexual photos of a woman while she was hogtied along with a video of her performing oral sex on him as he watched The Wolf of Wall Street.
Pratt narrowly avoided jail but received the equivalent of a dishonourable discharge from the army, leaving his reputation in tatters.

BREANNA ZORZETTO
A scorned navy medic landed herself in court after she shared an intimate video of a fellow sailor to a friend after she called her a “stalker”.
Former Able Seaman Breanna Zorzetto, was convicted after she admitted to two counts of sharing a video of another female sailor using a sex toy.
The 22-year-old sent the explicit video of the woman masturbating to a friend on Facebook before sharing it in a Facebook group with eight other sailors.
Zorzetto sent the video after the victim referred to her as a “psycho” on Snapchat and told her she didn’t love her.
She was hit with a $1000 fine and demoted to the rank of Seaman.

DARYL MICHAEL EVANS
A Goulburn man was slapped with a jail sentence after he sent intimate photos and a video of a woman to her family and friends.
Daryl Michael Evans left the woman “curled up in a ball shaking” after he hacked her Facebook account and shared nine photos and a video of herself masturbating to her entire Facebook friends list, including her father.
He sent the woman a message on Facebook calling her a “lying piece of s**” before sending out the compromising footage.
The 34-year-old was jailed for a maximum of 14 months, with a non-parole period of nine months for intentionally distributing intimate images without consent.
