A Sydney man whose Brazilian ex-boyfriend secretly filmed him for an amateur gay porn site says “my dignity was sold for $12.99.”
Insta-famous Surry Hills man Fabricio Da Silva Claudino illegally recorded himself having sex with his lover last year before uploading the video to paid porn site OnlyFans.
In September the 32-year-old will be sentenced for a raft of revenge porn charges,
His ex-partner, who thought he’d met the man of his dreams while on holiday in Rio de Janeiro, revealed his humiliation upon discovering the intimate vision had been promoted to tens of thousands of people online.
“My dignity was sold for $12.99,” the man told Downing Centre Local Court.
“This was sexual exploitation… this was domestic violence.”
The victim, who had guarded his sexuality, now lies awake at night worrying about being recognised in the tapes and has become “a grown man afraid of the outside world.”
“Everyday that passed was another day of strangers watching. Everyday I grew more anxious,” he said on Tuesday.
“My image was taken and rebranded. I knew that wasn’t me, but I was made to look cheap, and I started to believe that maybe I was.”
The victim said he paid for Da Silva Claudino’s one-way ticket to Sydney last July after the couple met on Ipanema Beach and fell in love.
The former Emirates flight attendant filmed four minutes of consensual sex on his iPhone at the pair’s Marrickville home last July, and posted the explicit content for his army of online subscribers.
He also uploaded multiple graphic images exposing the victim‘s genitals to his “Fabricio Monkey” OnlyFans account, which Da Silva Claudino promoted to his 100,000 Twitter followers and nearly 30,000 Instagram followers.
“My face became nothing more than a promotional tool… my tattoos, which I used to wear proudly, now feel like branding,” the victim said.
“I felt guilty, I felt dirty… I lost my identity forever.”
Appearing via video link from Silverwater prison with a cross necklace around his neck, Da Silva Claudino showed no emotion as his ex-lover said he’d been betrayed by his criminal double life.
Some of the victim’s family, friends and colleagues cried in court as he described suffering the early signs of post traumatic stress disorder.
After spending a lifetime protecting his reputation and privacy, the man’s confidence hit rock bottom and he feared he’d lose his job.
“Sometimes my hands shake so much I hide them in my pockets… I never felt far off breaking point,” he said.
“I don’t even enjoy my life, I just live it.”
Australian Federal Police officers arrested Da Silva Claudino at Sydney Airport in September as he got off a flight from Melbourne.

Da Silva Claudino ultimately pleaded guilty to two counts of taking intimate images of his victim without consent and five counts of distributing them while the Crown withdrew four similar charges.
But while on bail, Da Silva Claudino filmed himself masturbating on the balcony of his Chalmers Street apartment — in view of a Sydney high school — and also posted videos of himself exposing his penis on a footpath and in Prince Alfred Park.
He was taken back into custody and last month pleaded guilty to 15 counts of obscene exposure and one offensive behaviour charge for the acts committed in Surry Hills between September 2019 and February.
Da Silva Claudino also admitted to destroying a T-shirt and possessing anabolic steroids.
Da Silva Claudino will likely be deported back to Brazil following the completion of his sentence, the court heard.
In March, a GoFundMe page set up by supporters to raise $8000 for Claudino’s legal fees was taken down after it breached the website’s terms and conditions through the use of misleading statements.
