Storms have rolled into the southeast corner for the third night in a row, with falls of up to 67mm being reported in just an hour.
Southeast Queensland has been in the firing line as severe thunderstorms raged through the region delivering three-centimetre hail and 50mm rain in just an hour in places, and leaving more than 8200 properties without power.

Queensland and Western Australia are in for scorchers today, with the mercury set to soar to a level not seen in 50 years.
The southeast is set to get more rain after some areas reporting falls of up to 76mm in the past 24 hours.
Falls of up to 35mm a day and thunderstorms are expected to hit the southeast over the next few days.
Umbrellas will be switched for togs this weekend as Brisbane’s wet week is set to be followed by a humid and warm few days that could see temperatures reach the early 30s.
The southeast will experience cooler temperatures throughout the week, with heavy rainfall expected leading into the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to climb again following the Christmas reprieve, ahead of some rainy days to see out 2020.
