Every Netball SA Premier League player signing for 2023 so far revealed
From household names to rising stars and new recruits, there have been nearly 100 player signings across the Netball SA Premier League competition ahead of season 2023. See all the movements for each club so far.

Netball SA Premier League pre-season is in full swing and the competition’s eight clubs continue to build toward a fast-approaching 2023 campaign.
Each club has made significant player signings during the off-season and the competition looks as even as ever leading in to next year.
From returning big names to star new recruits and rising stars, we’ve got all 96 players listed across the competition so far.
Here are each outfit’s moves by alphabetical order of club.
CONTAX
Sophie Agostino (returning), Krystal Anderson-Ives (returning), Chelsea Blackman (returning), Quillen Economou (returning), Kayla Graham (returning), Jessie Grenvold (returning), Eliza Hunter (returning), Isabella Noye (from Tango), Jazmine Noye (from Tango), Tabitha Packer (returning), Jordana Vidmar (returning), Kate Walsh (from Sunshine Coast Lightning).
A total of nine players have re-signed with Contax this pre-season after just falling short to Matrics in last season’s grand final.
Headlining the returns are attacking star Sophie Agostino and emerging defensive star Jessie Grenvold, who recently re-signed alongside gun shooter Kayla Graham.
In one of the biggest moves so far, star Suncorp Super Netball defender Kate Walsh (nee Shimmin) will join last season’s grand finalists.
The former Sunshine Coast Lightning veteran should provide a huge boost for the club and arrives alongside gun Tango sisters Isabella and Jazmine Noye.
GARVILLE
Jordyn Adams (returning), Casey Bernhardt (from Matrics), Phoebe Bonner (returning), Emily Burgess (from Matrics), Abby Cenko (returning), Jacoba Clough (returning), Lucy Denton (returning), Tahlia Dnistrjanski (from Contax), Eliza Grenvold (returning), Brooke Irlam (returning), Annelise Janssen (returning), Zalii Reid (new to Premier League).
After starring for Matrics in its 2022 premiership run, goal defence Casey Bernhardt has taken her talents to Garville.
Bernhardt is fresh off of a standout year for Matrics and is joined at her new club by Matrics teammate and wing defence Emily Burgess.
Former Contax young gun Tahlia Dnistrjanski has also joined Garville, the premiership-winning midcourter aiming for further success after an impressive season at state and national level this year.
MATRICS
Sophie Casey (returning), Sophie Croft (returning), Georgia Dent (returning), Lauren Frew (returning), Cameron Golding (returning), Kimberley Hearnden (returning from injury), Tyler Orr (returning), Hannah Schwarz (returning), Aaleya Turner (returning), Lucy Voydovic (returning, Olivia Watts (returning), Sophie Westover (returning).
Matrics has relied heavily on player retainment after taking out the 2022 premiership over Contax, with a number of stars returning to the club.
Key players Georgia Dent, Lauren Frew and Sophie Westover have all committed to the club, while superstar centre Tyler Orr has also re-signed after yet another standout season for the club.
METRO JETS
Chloe Britten (returning), Krystal Collins (returning), Shelby Finlay (from Tango reserves), Alice Gerlach (returning), Alyssa Jones (from Tango reserves), Rhianne Kaluza (returning), Jemma Kelly (returning), Tayla Meaney (from Kapunda), Poppy Neilson (from Heathfield), Tanaye Nolan (returning), Zoe O’Brien (from Newton reserves), Rebecca Taheny (returning).
Metro Jets has locked down a number of gun players ahead of season 2023.
Superstar veteran Alice Gerlach will continue with the club next season after another strong year through the midcourt, while up and coming youngster Jemma Kelly will attempt to solidify consistent playing time at Premier League level.
Tayla Meaney and Poppy Neilson have arrived at the Jets from Kapunda and Heathfield respectively as the club’s two new arrivals.
NEWTON JAGUARS
Alyse Taylor (returning), Amber Ellard (returning), Billie-Jaye Brougham (returning), Brooke McDonnell (returning), Charli Hazelhurst (returning), Jessica Stratfold (returning), Mikayla Sheffield (returning), Millicent Cordy (from Tango), Savanna Musarella (from Tango), Sienna Burns (returning), Taylor Breen (returning), Victoria Henderson (from Penola).
Newton is another club with a large number of players to re-sign.
The Jaguars will see a number of star players return in 2023, including fast-rising 17-year-old star Sienna Burns – who was selected for the Australia U17s squad last season.
Former Tango players Millicent Cordy and Savana Musarella have joined the club, while Victoria Henderson arrives after a solid year in wing attack for Penola.
OAKDALE
Kali Cook-Shakles (returning), Poppy Gilfillan-Silk (from Metro Jets), Kayla Howes (returning), Monet Lyle (from Metro Jets), Olivia Nicholls (returning), Mikayla Schache (returning), Poppy Scholz (returning), Paris Sinclair (returning), Breannan Smith (returning), Asha Thurlow (returning), Jordan Vivian (returning), Alex Ward (returning).
Poppy Gilfillan-Silk and Monet Lyle mark two major recruits for Oakdale, arriving at the club after producing promising seasons for Metro Jets.
Gilfillan-Silk solidified herself as one of the most promising attackers in the competition, while Lyle displayed her ability and versatility through the midcourt.
The two youngsters will join returning guns such as Asha Thurlow and Jordan Vivian.
SOUTH ADELAIDE
Ashleigh Bray (returning), Rhea Kruse (returning), Emily Laird (from Tango), Bethany Lane (returning), Jessica Paradiso (from Tango), Rachel Redden (returning), Che Reville (returning), Eliza Riggall (from Tango), Lauren Ross (returning), Sarah Stewart (returning), Courtney Summers (returning), Charlotte Veart (from Tango).
South Adelaide has picked up four players from Tango’s 2022 side, including emerging star Eliza Riggall – who had a breakout season in 2022 and also played for the U19 state team.
Reigning league MVP Jessica Paradiso headlines the club’s pick-ups, the veteran goal attack joining South Adelaide for a new challenge after dominating for Tango in season 2022.
TANGO
Jessica Axford (from Garville), Jordyn Bryant (from Newton Jaguars), Chelsea Burns (from Garville), Kiara Ebert (returning), Kellie George (returning), Brianna Gibbs (returning), Tenille Gray (from South Adelaide), Hannah Lenthall (from Tasmania), Abbie Pascoe (returning), Coco Patterson (2019 Metro Jets player), Dayna Schmid (from Gawler Central), Laura Worden (from South Adelaide).
Tango has arguably been the most active club in the off-season, bringing in a host of players to replace multiple departures.
Former East Gambier and McLaren Vale attacker Tenille Gray has joined the club after time with South Adelaide, signing recently alongside returning young gun midcourter Brianna Gibbs – who played consistent Premier League netball last season and captained Tango’s reserves.
The club will now need to gel a number of new faces as it aims to improve on its third-place finish on last season’s ladder.
